The captain of the Azerbaijan national team, Emin Mahmudov, took part in the press conference before the friendly match against Kazakhstan.

Offsideplus.az reports that the 32-year-old midfielder answered the journalists' questions:

- Tomorrow we have a game against a good opponent. The Kazakh national team wakes up well in defense and counter-attack. They have developed in recent years. Kazakhstan is a good nation. We want to win by playing as well as we did two years ago.

- If you score tomorrow, you will reach Gurban Gurbanov's record. Have you thought about it?

- It's been the same for how many games, I can score a goal. I think more about the national team. If the team is good, I will have many episodes, I can score goals. I don't mind just the arm.

- The new head coach of the national team will be announced in the near future. Tomorrow may be Arif Asadov's last game. As the captain, did you talk to the players to give victory to teacher Arif?

- We want to win. This is the national team, we have to go to every game to win. We do not know what they think about Mr. Arif. We want to win, make the fans and teacher Arif happy.
